PRACTICE QUANTIFIERS IN SENTENCES INTERMEDIATE

HI THERE!!!







Here below, you have got an interesting exercise to practice the QUANTIFIERS in english language. The quantifiers are SOME, ANY, MUCH, MANY, HOW MUCH and HOW MANY.

Read carefully and pay attention to the spelling mistakes written in the sentences.

Choose the right sentence taking in account the quantifiers and There is / There are.

SOME - ANY - HOW MUCH - HOW MANY

You could study and learn about when you must use quantifiers in English language.



SOME and ANY


With countable nouns, we use

THERE ARE - THERE AREN'T
(plural nouns)

example
There are SOME apples on the table.
(affirmative sentence)

There aren't ANY books on the bed.
(negative sentence)

Are there ANY gorillas in Asia?
(interrogative sentences)


With uncountable nouns, we use
THERE IS - THERE ISN'T
(no plural)

There is some honey on my toast.
(affirmative sentence)

There isn't any butter on the toast.
(negative sentence)

Is there any water in the glass?
(interrogative sentence)
